Michael Baker Jr., Inc. Purchases Optech Lynx Mobile Mapper

Toronto, Canada, August 10, 2009

Optech Incorporated, the leading provider of advanced lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) survey instruments announced today that Michael Baker Jr., Inc. (Baker), an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Amex: BKR) headquartered in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, has purchased Optech’s next generation Lynx Mobile Mapper.

Baker selected Optech’s Lynx Mobile Mapper to complement the company’s existing engineering services while providing lidar acquisition capabilities for survey-grade data collection used to supplement Baker’s service offerings across the entire spectrum of its business.
