Engefoto Purchases an Optech ALTM Gemini

Toronto, Canada – Optech Incorporated, the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced lidar survey instruments, is very pleased to announce that Engefoto Engenharia e Aerolevantamentos S.A. of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil, has purchased an ALTM Gemini airborne lidar mapper. One of Brazil’s largest and most renowned aerial mapping companies, the firm has been in business for 30 years and currently employs more than 200 people.

Until recently, Engefoto concentrated on providing superior photogrammetric products to their customers, as a leading firm in the industry. With the acquisition of the ALTM Gemini, Engefoto becomes a powerful force in the remote sensing industry in South America.

The ALTM Gemini incorporates the industry’s only fully-automated Continuous Multipulse (CMP™) technology system, enabling data collection at twice the altitude of conventional single-pulse systems.
