Web & Graphic Design Specialist - Marketing Group

Role: Responsible for the design and administration of the corporate website utilizing both Graphic Design and Web design talents to continuously improve and update this key corporate presence. An integral member of the marketing team, you will also apply your graphic design talents and knowledge to support the creation of electronic and print Marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Marketing Manager and possibly outside resources to help design, manage and maintain the company website including all content and formatting.
  
• Create, prepare, and integrate design, graphic illustrations, digital photos, movies, animations, etc. into Optech's web presence as well as in support of various other marketing materials
  
• Design new imagery and new formats concepts to keep web appearance looking new and fresh
  
• Maintain and keep content up-to-date and support all additions/changes/deletions of information as required
  
• Constantly assess and suggest potential modifications that may be made to the website in order to keep it looking state-of-the-art
  
• Design and/or coordinate with Outside Suppliers re: Organic and Paid Search criteria for search engines
  
• Design, prepare and integrate new designs into the existing website in a seamless fashion
  
• Support graphic design and layouts for a diverse range of promotional and product materials, including but not limited to posters, brochures, web site, and product labels
  
• Organize all data and graphic files with up to date/current information and backup as necessary
  
• Design and maintain corporate sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Produce and create digital video content for distribution on web-site and DVD sales collateral
  

Qualifications:

• Post Secondary education in web design and graphic arts.
  
• 1-2 years of web design development
  
• 2+ years graphic design development
  
• Proven web design skills with viewable portfolio
  
• Demonstrated design layout, multimedia and typography skills
  
• Good layout and presentation skills
  
• Proficiency in: Macromedia, Dream weaver, Shockwave, Flash, Quark Express,
• Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Adobe Premier, etc.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in PowerPoint
  
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
