Regional Sales Manager, I3D Division - North America
Role: Ensures order and revenue growth of Optech Incorporated Industrial& 3D Imaging Division products and services to customer accounts by analyzing and meeting customer needs; developing and implementing sales plans; selling new systems, upgrades and warranties; providing customer support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual sales quotas by working with International Sales Manager / channel distributors to establish selling strategies. Primary focus will be on laser level instrumentation for process control
- Obtain orders and establish new accounts; visit and/or call existing and potential customers; support channel distributors; analyze customer requirement, strategic plans and objectives, recommend solutions to company products; keep management informed through regular activity reports and communication
- Sales and marketing of all I3D products to reach divisional targets for sales volumes. Includes responding to customer requests, quotation of new units and parts. Attain sales targets (quantity and revenue) for products as set out in the annul budget
- Training customers with respect to product operation. Troubleshooting field problems, applications issues and general customer support. Ensure customer requests (field problem, quotation requests) are handled on time and efficiently resulting in customer satisfaction.
- Work with sales and marketing team to ensure sales growth in all products. Help promote all products and reach divisional targets for all product lines.
- Prepare promotional literature for the product lines with the sales and marketing plan for the year. Ensure promotional material is up to date and available as requested by customers. Work with corporate marketing to facilitate this.
- Attend trade shows and visit customers to promote and demonstrate products. Follow-through with marketing plan as set out at the start of the fiscal year with attendance at trade shows and promotional activities
- Focus on customer retention with new business penetration within assigned geographic territory. Maintain existing accounts and develop new accounts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by managing and monitoring sales order process from data collection through order acceptance to delivery; provide technical support to customers on orders; provide sales support/training to channel distributors; identify and resolve customer issues and complaints
- Add customer value by developing a thorough understanding of customer’s business, mission, strategy, operational issues; advising customers on best product solutions to accomplish objectives; recommending customer discounts, custom solutions and/or special considerations
- Recommend changes in products, service by evaluating product results and competitive developments and communicating customer requirements to Division management.
- Assist Technical/Product Managers by providing ongoing information regarding customer trends, issues and requests related to products
- Contribute to team effort by participating in trade shows, team sales calls, proposal development, pricing presentations, consultative selling techniques, and order closing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or with a Diploma in GIS , Remote Sensing
- 3 - 5 years direct sales experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of mapping including photogrammetry
- Marketing Management; Channel Marketing/Distributor Relations/Alliances experience
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills; Excellent presentation skills
- Good negotiation, project management, organizational, prioritization and planning skills
- Customer oriented, Knowledge and understanding of the business culture and culture of the customers, including fluency in the language of the customer
- Committed, Team Player; Professional attitude and appearance; Self-motivated, Has initiative, Takes Action, Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to travel extensively on a frequent basis (approx 50% travel)
