Technical Analyst

Role:

Provides analysis support to characterize performance of an airborne lidar system, solving issues with data quality and investigating odd data results, escalate reported problems within customer response target times. Provides technical support to ASP production, SW and HW services and Engineering.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting expertise and complex technical problem resolution
• Coordinate the escalation of complex technical issues through the utilization of personnel who have the most appropriate expertise
• Use technical expertise to help customer support staff to resolve issues with customers to ensure contractual agreements are met and customer requirements are fulfilled 
• Maintain a high level of technical product knowledge of airborne survey products
• Develop the CRM knowledgebase by working closely with the CSR team 
• Assist personnel with developing training materials for both internal and external customers  

Qualifications:

• College or University degree in GIS or related discipline or in technical disciplines (physics, math, geophysics, civil or environmental engineering)
• 1-3 years of work experience in GIS-related fields (aerial survey, photogrammetry, remote sensing, etc.) or equivalent experience in R&D environment of the relevant industry (geodesy, optics/electronics, remote sensing)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Proven ability to handle multi-tasking;  Ability to work under pressure and to flex hours; Ability to work independently under minimum supervision
• Microsoft Office/Windows NT, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
• Proven ability to generate well-structured reports and other documentation
• Working knowledge of GIS software and hands on experience in spatial data analysis a strong advantage
• Background in physics/geophysics, optics/electronics an advantage
