Aerial Data Service, Inc. places order for LYNX Mobile Mapper
Toronto, Canada, March 27, 2009
Optech Incorporated, the leading provider of advanced lidar survey instruments, announced today that Aerial Data Service, Inc. (ADS), based in Tulsa, Oklahoma has purchased Optech’s next generation LYNX Mobile Mapper.
As a full-service geospatial company, ADS chose Optech’s LYNX Mobile Mapper due to the need for a complete mobile mapping solution. “The two sensor configuration will greatly reduce the number of passes required during the data collection. The Mobile Mapper system complements our existing acquisition capabilities,” says ADS. ADS has focused on cutting-edge technology since 1964, boldly forging a reputation as an industry leader.
“We are pleased to have ADS join the growing Optech client family,” said Don Carswell, President of Optech Incorporated. “Given their depth of experience with spatial data acquisition and their proven ability to adopt and embrace new technology, we anticipate many groundbreaking surveys will be undertaken by ADS with their Lynx."
Eric Andelin, ADS’s Vice President, points to the company’s ability to take on any project involving geospatial data collection, regardless of the scope, while maintaining personal customer service as the priority. “ADS is unique. We have the capabilities of a conglomerate, but the heart and dedication of a small business. We were looking for a complete mobile solution and we chose one source to go to for equipment and support. Because of Optech’s reputation and longevity within the industry, we felt that Optech is the only solution for mobile Lidar,” he said.
